There are some famous books out there that state it requires 10,000 hours of work in a field or a discipline to become a master. How long did it take you to become a master of your current field? What would happen if you lost your job tomorrow and had to learn a new trade? How long would it take you to then master a new trade or profession?

I believe in immersion. I believe in the power of the mind. I believe in YOU. We are the ones that limit ourselves. We speak within our mind this self-doubt that can limit who we become and what we are… What will you become today and in the next 30 days?

How will you know if it requires more than 30 days until you try it. So many people will read this post and never try and therefore in their mind “win” the battle of the mind disproving the theory. “See I told him it was not possible to become a master in 30 days.” As they lean back in their recliner from a full meal and turn on the TV while turning off the potential that is within.

Believe that you were created for something greater… You have the opportunity to become a master and within the next year add 12 new elements to who you are… 1 new element or topic of mastery a month. What will you become a master of in the month of September?

Only you can choose… Only you can elect to change, to develop a new habit of mastery. For those of you that take the challenge of mastery, please post your accomplishments on this blog… See you on the other side of mastery.

We have had many people request a basic review of how to create a Facebook Business Page. You will find a 101 Video below of a screen cast done by Spoken Word Seminars. After you establish your page review the 5 essentials in this blog to create the engagement and social fusion you want with your new page.

Create a Facebook Business Page

Creating your Facebook Business Page

Now that you have created your Facebook Business Page- what are the 5 Essentials to maximizing your new page?!!

1. Establish your Vanity URL. You will need 25 “Likes” before you can do this but once you have 25 go to: www.facebook.com/username to create your own Vanity URL. This can be used in your marketing and is vital in order to push traffic to your new Business Page.

2. Photos. Utilize Photos with company outings/events/parties/clients. People respond to visuals and love seeing your company interact with the consumer.

3. Videos. Facebook allows you to upload your own Videos. Please DO NOT use this as a way to push out your product rather a way to humanize your brand and engage the consumer. Be the real YOU on camera as you learned through Social Fusion.

4. Comments. Leverage the Comment Status updates from our Company with polling, questions, events, etc. Create interaction between your company and the fans. Many companies use contests as a way to engage.

5. Tagging. This is overlooked by many as a way of spreading your Facebook Business Page to others. As you implement Photos & Video and even your comments you can “tag”/highlight people in the videos and photos. The advantage is that they will typically interact on your page AND it will show up on their personal profile now spreading your FB business page to all of their friends.

Stay tuned for the next tutorial video with Spoken Word Seminars and how to go from 101 to true Social Fusion.

So hundreds of elite Realtors descended upon Las Vegas earlier this month. It was an amazing combination of technology, systems and business reviews all captured within 3 days. The opening session on the “Extreme Future” set the tone moderated by James Nellis and highlighting: Michael Maher, Julie Beall and Brian Copeland. This panel quickly engaged the audience and focused on where each Realtor will need to be in their business if they would continue to excel and succeed in the coming years.

It comes down to 3 things to succeed in the Extreme Future:

1. Change – Many businesses review their business once a year. Julie Beall added, “A Business review must occur continually, you can not wait for once a year to be ahead of the market and your competition. At a minimum every 3 months but ideally once a month review what you are doing and the return on your investment.”

2. Adapt – The Real Estate companies that continue to do business the same way they have will not capture more market share. They will continue to succeed with their client database and the referrals “from within”. If you are looking to NOT grow your business then remain the way you and your company is today. However to capture more business and expand now is the time to adapt. Review your systems and be diligent in eliminating the waste and tradition within your company that does not contribute to new business.
During the session we played “Kill Your Future” and Nellis highlighted Travel Agencies. Many years ago when Expedia came out followed by Travelocity and even Kayak it meant the END of the Travel Agent. Technology had ended their entire industry. This has become true for the basic round trip ticket. Yet there are many travel agents prosperting years later today. What are they doing?
They have found their niche. They do not book 1 airline ticket however if a business professional is jumping 3-4 stops in one trip they will call a travel agent. Many have found their niche with vacation packages and adventure/experience travel. In any market there is an opportunity to grow and succeed but you must be willing to refine or throw out old models that no longer work in today’s market.

3. Shine – Gathered at Sellabration with CRS in Las Vegas, I looked out upon so many experienced and highly respected Realtors. It is true that their current models have served them well. But in order to succeed they now have realized they must change and adapt to survive the future. There are 2 ways you can shine in any industry:
You can shine as a setting sun… Once brilliant and now disappearing into the horizon
OR
You can shine as a rising sun… with the future ahead and a sky of limitless possibilities

The future in the Real Estate industry is bright but each Realtor must be willing to CHANGE, ADAPT & ultimately SHINE.

Change, Adapt & Shine

Social Fusion is defined by James Nellis as “The layering of multiple forms of media to integrate with the accessiblity of today’s consumer.” Each business owner or marketing department must understand how to interact with the consumer of today. Many companies are still frozen in the “Grand Marketing Era”… You remember- when big companies got bigger by throwing money at it and heavily marketing how good they were and how elite their product. During the Grand Marketing Era (GME) the focus was on the brand and on the company not the consumer. It did work, but it will no longer breed success in today’s business market. Below is an image of the FORD logo… Perhaps a great example of the GME: a company that waited too long to adapt to the new consumer.

The consumer has more choices. The consumer is more informed. The consumer demands more today. So, what do you do? How do you become profitable and a success in today’s marketplace?

Each company must focus on their Consumer, Brand & Marketing. All 3 need to interact with each other in a layered marketing approach. You have to present a common theme and speak in the common vernacular in each “sphere”. Sphere is labeled as the online communities. Some examples of spheres would be Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter… One of the most costly mistakes is taking 1 message to every audience with the same language. Each sphere speaks a different language and part of Social Fusion is learning how to master the language needed for the audience you want to interact with today. Below is a preview of an upcoming Seminar on Social Fusion… Click on the video to learn more and get 2 free tips on how to succeed with an online strategy using Social Fusion:

There were many new insights unveiled in Real Estate with the full 2 days of instruction. The focus ranged from how to negotiate the best terms, find the right properties and help each client focus on what is best for resale. It is rare when a Realtor can gain so much information and selling strategies in under 48 hours.

The Tulsa Board and the CRS State Chapter of Oklahoma did a wonderful job in providing a great learning format for all of the Realtors. Here is a video recap from the 2 day course:
